Aspiring playwrights will be guided through the process of writing a simple one-act play in this day-long workshop. Emphasis will be on writing from the heart and expressing what is unique to you. Learn the basics of character, plot, structure, conflict and the art of convincing dialogue. Then put it into practice by writing a few short scenes which will be read out at the end of the day for comments from the group.
Suitable for all experience levels, and may be particularly interesting for writers of other genres, or actors looking to develop their writing skills. Bring a laptop, or your own writing implements of choice.
