Google Analytics is optional. It helps us understand public visits and selected actions, such as opening the newsletter form or saving a consulting enquiry. With your permission, we also count confirmed account registrations and paid memberships when you next return to a public page. We do not send account-page content, emails or script details.

You can use the website and your account without allowing it. Opening a newsletter form or Eventbrite does not count as a completed subscription or booking.

On our newsletter signup page, your permission also lets us add a random reference to the Mailchimp form. It links a confirmed subscription notification to this browser for up to 30 minutes. This may include a resubscription. Mailchimp retains the reference with the contact; we never send the reference or email to Google.

We remember your choice for six months. Rejecting analytics stops collection and removes the Google Analytics cookies. Your account and membership access stay the same.

You have not chosen whether to allow analytics.

Playwriting workshops and classes

We’re here to help emerging writers develop their craft. Explore our playwriting workshops and classes to find a session that fits what you want to work on, whether you’re starting your first play or returning to a draft.

Book your place on Eventbrite, where you can find current sessions and ticket details. Members pay less on workshops. Explore our supporter membership and check the member booking instructions for your chosen event.

Choosing a playwriting workshop

Start with a question about your writing: do you want to develop an idea, explore a craft topic or think through your next draft? Read the Eventbrite description to see what you’ll be working on and what the session aims to help you with. Check whether it suits your experience and where you are with your play.

Before booking, check the date, time, duration, ticket options and any preparation requested. If you’re not sure whether a session is right for you, or you have questions about access, use the organiser contact option on the event listing.

Online and in-person sessions

Most of our workshops take place online on Zoom. We also run in-person workshops from time to time. Check the individual listing for the format and, for an in-person event, the venue before making travel plans. The current programme and booking details are available through the Eventbrite links above.

Keep developing your play

Between sessions, read our writing advice on structuring a play and what to do after finishing a draft. For feedback on a specific script, explore our script consulting services. You can also subscribe to London Playwrights emails and choose the updates you would like to receive.
